This will be the sixth year the Georgia State University Model United Nations Conference will use an online registration system. This allows delegates, faculty advisors, and conference staff to be best informed about the current status of registration and help ensure that we are best able to meet your needs. The following steps outline this year's registration process:
- School's faculty advisor registers school and selects country choices in online system.
- Conference staff review registration and assign final delegations to school.
- School's faculty advisor receives a confirmation email with list of delegations and payment information.
- Registration is finalized and secured upon receipt of school's registration payment.
2010 Registration Policies
In order to ensure a fair and equitable registration process and to promote a balanced conference, the following policies will be implemented and enforced by the Secretariat. Requests for waivers to any of these policies may be addressed to the Secretary-General.
- The first round of delegation assignments will not be released until approximately 2 weeks after the opening of registration, or when the conference reaches 20% of capacity, whichever occurs first.
- No school will be assigned more than 2 Security Council states. During initial registration, we reserve the right to balance Security Council powers.
- The registration fee is $75/delegation until the end of early registration, and then becomes $90/delegation.
- Please review the delegation matrix to determine which committees your delegation choices are represented on. We will attempt to match this, but cannot guarantee it.
- Schools may not register more than 8 delegations.
- Memorials for delegations with a case before the ICJ are mandatory. These must be turned in by the deadline on the ICJ page.
- Delegations canceled after the registration deadline receive no refund.
- Delegations may be dropped for non-payment on the payment deadline.
